Work duties
 Supervise and Perform the following physical engineering tasks:
• Hazardous area classification layout(s) for the proper selection of sparking equipment.
• Outdoor grounding (earthing) layout(s).
• Outdoor cable routing layout(s) including below/above ground systems.
• Outdoor lighting and power layout(s).
• Electrical equipment layout(s) inside electrical rooms (substation, generator set…etc)
• Substation and building layout(s) including grounding (earthing), lightning, cable routing, lighting and power.
• Electrical schedules including cable schedule, switchgear & MCC schedule and distribution panel(s) schedule for the outdoor and indoor lighting and small power system.
• Lighting and small power block diagrams.
• Interconnection wiring diagram(s).
• Installation details related to lighting, grounding, lightning, raceways, heat tracing and power system.
• Sizing of raceways (conduits, trays, trenches…etc).
• Lighting and small power calculation.

 Supervise & Perform the following system engineering tasks:

Power system studies and electrical calculations:
• Sizing of electrical power cables (IEC, NEC and IEEE/ANSI).
• Selection and sizing of electrical control cables.
• Short Circuit analysis (IEC and IEEE/ANSI).
• Load Flow Analysis.
• Electromechanical transient stability analysis.
• Motor starting analysis.
• Electrical Harmonic analysis.
• Grounding calculation (IEEE/ANSI)
• Load analysis for electrical equipment sizing.
• Relay coordination analysis.

Electrical system drawings:
• Key one line diagram(s)and detailed protection/metering one line diagram(s).
• Schematic and logic diagrams.

Procurement activities:
• Material requisition for the electrical packages (main equipment and the electrical materials) and participate in the non-electrical packages. This includes the preparation of specifications, data sheets, supplier document requirements, minimum quality surveillances and application sheets.
• Bids evaluation including technical clarifications and evaluation reports .
• Electrical and non-electrical vendor print review.
• Inspection of all electrical materials and equipments.
