Mechanical Engineer

Build a career in oil and gas industry.

I am working for Singer Bangladesh Limited in its electric cable manufacturing plant as the Maintenance Engineer since 2005. I was engaged from the erection and installation phase of the plant. Now I am responsible for overall maintenance section of the plant including but not limited to Gas Generator section, compressors, wire drawing machines, cable extrusion machines etc. I have also fabricated a curing chamber for XLPE cable production. I have made some amendments (mechanical) of few machineries for convenience of production. I am also responsible for any kind of electrical maintenance. I am also taking care of Safety and Health issue. I have made few arrangements of the machineries for health protection of work force.

I have obtained a first class bachelor degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Mechanical Engineering in 2004.

•Training on ‘Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)’ at Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (BITAC), Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2008.
•Training Workshop on ‘Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) at Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) organized by BEF and NICC, Japan in 2006.
•Training on ‘Factory Environment, Health and Safety Development’ at Factory and Establishment Inspection Department, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Bangladesh in 2005.
•Industrial training at a major Power Station (Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited, Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh) while a final year student in the university in 2004.

Recently I am studying DCS and SCADA system and hope to work on this technology.
