Laboratory Incharge Chemist

Current Position : Laboratory incharge (Head Chemist) Current Job: Alexandria Carbon Black Company (PetroChemical) from October 1994

General Duties:
-Involvement in the Planning of the analytical activities in the chemical laboratory on daily basis.
- Routine running of chemical laboratory related business and testing of raw materials, Water, in process and finished products.
- Implement and maintain Health and Safety Standards.
- Maintain Inventory of the lab. (Chemicals, solvents, Reagents and Glassware.)
- Participate in the Site Trends program by presenting trend records of Finished Products Tests results and contribute in decision making for corrective action and preventive recurrence in case of results are out of limits.
- Calibration of Lab. Equipments and Glassware.
Job Details:
-Analysis of all Raw Materials (Hydrocarbon Oils)
(Anthracene, phenol extracted oli, Mazzot, imported oil from U.S.A)
HCl, Sodium Hypochorite, Potassium Carbonate
Oil Test include: Specific Gravity, API, BMCI, Water&Sediment, Water Content, Flash Point, N-Pentane insoluble.
-Water Analysis of different types of water: (Gravemetric, Volumetric, and Photometric)
(Raw water, Cooling Water, Boiler Water, DM Water and Waste Water)
Tests including : PH , TDS , TSS , Alakalinety , Hardness , Silica , Iron , Hydrazene , Phosphate , Zinc , Chloride , Sulphate , Chlorene , Oil & Grease
-Pollution Controlling tests for (Water & Air) according ISO14001
- Physiochemical analysis of Carbon black in all production stages
(Iodine No, DBP, Pellet Quality, Sieve Risidue, Toluene Discoloration, Tint Strength and C.T.A.B,)
-Doing some Projects to develop the product.
(Increasing PH of Carbon Black, Improving Pellet Quality, Decrease Sieve Residue of the product. )
-Sharing in ISO Staff of (QC & QA) Departement.
