POSITION: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Planning, Scheduling and executing of Preventive, Predictive, shutdown & Break down Maintenance jobs.
Ø Record keeping of requisitions raised, job orders completed, work in progress jobs and pending jobs relating to mechanical maintenance activities.
Ø Reviewing with other planners, the incoming daily job orders indicating maintenance, defects and repairs required, raise store issue vouchers for needed spare parts and obtains applicable work permits if there is a need.
Ø Analysizing & Interpretation of machine & equipment drawings.
Ø Using AutoCAD in designing some mechanical parts for machining and/or fabrication needed for the maintenance jobs.
Ø Trouble shooting and Conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures and non-scheduled shutdowns and recommending problem resolutions.
Ø Ensuring that all company’s machineries and pipelines rotating and static equipment such as pumps, hydraulic cylinders and motors, pneumatic cylinders, valves, gearboxes etc are maintained, improved and/or replaced for optimum efficiency and availability to meet the plant integrity requirements.
Ø Supervising the Mechanical Maintenance activities to ensure that all mechanical tests and runs are carried out prior to returning equipment or systems back to normal operations.
Ø Supervising and ensuring proper use of tools and test equipment, security and safe operation of these tools.
Ø Assisting in the preparation of annual list of spare parts, consumable materials and special tools or test equipment and reviews consumption.
