Over 12 years experience in oil and gas industry
Piping engineer with extensive exposure to all aspects of hydrocarbon piping and plant design and construction
Sufficient practical field experience & communication skills relating to piping engineering
Knowledge of common types of process equipment & how each functions & the criteria for determining allowable loads on the equipment nozzles
Solving unusual engineering problems & developing economical & safe solutions.
Experienced in both analytical and hand calculation, computer soft wares such as Caesar II, FE Pipe, Nozzle Pro, AutoPipe
Proficient in the use of relevant Engineering codes ASME piping Codes (B31.3, B31.4, B31.8) , ASME pressure vessel Codes (Section VIII, Div. 1, 2), WRC 107&297,CSA Z662 and API 650
Identifying the Stress critical lines from the P&ID and line list as per the Stress Specification.
Ability to work with internal teams, client personnel, other consulting firms
Coordinate the activities of the engineering and design groups assigned from mid to large sized projects.
Participate/Support detailed Engineering and perform checks of Piping engineering drawings and calculations of upstream piping for oil and gas production and CPF of the SAGD facilities for major clients such as Devon, Husky and Statoil Hydro.
Preparation of MTO for Piping Bulk and Piping Specialty, Mechanical Tender for Piping Fabrication and installation, Insulation and allied mechanical works.
Review Equipment Layouts based on tentative Equipment dimensions and arrange for issue of RFQs for ordering of Piping Bulk at Preliminary, Intermediate and final stages.
Stress analysis of piping connected to static equipment such as Vessel, Exchanger, Tank and rotary equipment such as Pumps and stress analyzing of the buried piping
Checking Loads on the Stress Equipment Nozzles, Local stress check on support, flange leak check, checking the PSV reaction force and sludge force on the piping system.
Preparing Datasheets for springs pipe supports, Expansion Joint and Struts.
Checking stress runs and checking isometrics and GA for issuing IFC packages.
