I have 32 years experience in Drilling and Workover operations. 24 years in Drilling and 8 years in Workover.
I have been in a supervisory role for the last 15 years. I supervised all operations of the drilling rig including training of personnel and implementing safety policies.
I have extensive experience in drilling deep, high-pressure gas wells. I have extensive experience with directional and horizontal drilling, including short radius and multi-lateral, H2S, severe lost circulation, abnormal pressures, MWD technology, DST equipment, well testing and stimulation, multi-string completions, drilling exploratory wells, open and cased hole completions, running long strings of casing, cementing with multistage tools, and oil based muds. I worked as a fisherman and am experienced in fishing tool operations in open and cased hole, liner hangers and other down hole tool operations. I have drilled wells with high H2S, deep gas wells with high pressures, temperatures and mud weights. I have experience with top drive units, and cyber based computerized rigs.

I am very computer literate and familiar with computer reporting programs including, DIMS, RIMS, Open Wells, and KeyView.

I have 14 years experience working in the Middle East and am familiar with the environment and customs.

I have been responsible for the supervision of up to 5 rigs both in the field and from the office. As a Drilling Consultant I was responsible for supervising the day to day operations of the rig, insuring the well was drilled according to company parameters and in a safe and cost effective manner, ordering parts and supplies for the drilling operation. Supervising all casing and cementing jobs. Coordinating with cementing company to approve final calculations and volumes, pumping speeds and maximum allowable pressures and displacement volumes. Recommending solutions to downhole problems to engineering staff and implementing them.

Insuring that all well control procedures are followed and supervising any well control situations. Assisting the drilling contractor in the safe and cost efficient operation of their rig. Overseeing safety meetings and insuring all personnel are properly trained. Preparing and submitting daily computerized drilling reports and end of well summaries.

As Operations Manager I was responsible for supervising the implementation of the workover program. Approving rig manager’s expenditures. Working with HR Department to keep rigs staffed with competent and trained people. Working with Maintenance supervisor to keep rigs working and supplied with necessary parts and equipment. Monitoring costs and insuring the cost effective operation of the rigs. Working with the Truck Pusher to insure the safe and efficient moving of rigs and camps.
