HSE Advisor (from 23/05/07 – Till date)

• Ensuring effective implementation of HSE Management System in line with standards including OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 and timely achievement of objectives and targets
• Assisting Project manager to undertake the assigned projects with utmost safety performance
• Review contract HSE documents, safety procedures, close out reports submitted by the contractors and advice management in respect to HSE matters
• Ensuring all activities on site are in compliance with project safety requirements & procedures
• Liaison closely with contractor in developing & imparting of updated HSE related trainings (tool box talks, induction trainings, specific trainings)
• Promote pro-active management commitment and employee involvement in HSE activities including behavioural-based safety , suggestion schemes & incentive programs
• Participation in Risk Assessment & Review (JHA / THA, HAZOP,HAZID)
• Close monitoring of site activities, reporting observations, issuing non-conformance as required including STOP& TASK Programs
• Participation in weekly meetings and monthly executive meetings as HSE representative.
• Monitoring the compliance of Permit to work system
• Coordination in HSE audit in accordance with corporate & project audit schedule
• Assisting contractor QHSE staff for accident investigation & compilation of investigation reports
• Ensuring HSE performance data is effectively collected, analysed, tracked and reported, in weekly and monthly basis
• Monitoring effectiveness of emergency preparedness by initiating periodical drills
• Participation in the Behavioural Safety process and advise contractors on at risk behaviours and corrective actions or positive reinforcement methods
• Overseeing contractor’s occupational health management systems & controls to eliminate or reduce occupational exposure ,health & hygiene inspections
• Liaison with main contractor to monitor site environmental management and control systems including waste management/control
