Johan Boshoff has experience in the following positions, Project Management, Contract Management, Commercial Management, Contracts Administrations which includes the supervision, administration, quantity surveying and management of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering civil engineering, and electrical engineering construction industries having worked on a variety of projects for major clients, from grassroots oil and gas plant projects to major refinery and oil terminal expansions.

Johan has worked on major mining, petrochemical, civil and power generation projects. He has developed skills on a wide range of activities including the procurement of construction contracts and services both for NEC and FIDIC type of contracts, the preparation of tender/enquiry documents including Bills of Quantities, preparation of contract documents, developing of tendering and contractual strategies, cost control, cost planning and planning, extra works/variation control, quantity surveying, claims administration and final accounts.

Working for Murray & Roberts Construction since April 2007 as the Commercial Manager for the 1, 7 Billion Rand VRESAP project, before that he worked for Bateman International as the Contracts Manager for a mining Project. He has worked for Technip from February 2005 on site managing the petrochemical contractors for the PP2 project and for Foster Wheeler for over three years during which time he worked on a number of petrochemical projects doing estimating, costing and general contracts management. Prior to joining Foster Wheeler, he spent a year with Bateman International, a Project Management Company specialising in the mining and industrial engineering sector. Prior to that, he spent ten years working for City Power, a power generation company, as Manager Contracts and Purchasing, a company that managed the generation and supply of electricity to the industry.

VRESAP Project:
Managing all commercial aspects of the R 1,65 billion FIDIC Contract, managed by a consulting firm VPC appointed by the Employer TCTA as the Engineer, attending to all correspondence, claims, negotiation of addendum's and presentation of disputes and representation at DAB meetings for the project monthly meetings and for dispute resolution meetings. Managing of Sub-contracts Administrators, Cost manager and Quantity Surveyors, Reporting to the Project Director and JV Executive committee, main duties are the day to day commercial contract correspondence, and the preparation and presentations of claims to the Engineer, and the determination of claims submitted by the Employer to the Engineer.
Delegated by the Project Director to act on his behalf with regards to all commercial maters and this includes the approval of orders, subcontracts and payments on the JD Edwards ERP system.
Appointed in the capacity of acting Projects Director in his absence.
Appointed in terms of Section 16(2) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, No. 85 to carry out the obligations of the Chief Executive Officer on the Vresap Joint Venture
The preparation and submittal of claims to the DAB, and the reporting of the current project status to the monthly DAB meeting.
Assisting the site contracts administrator with their duties for the following disciplines, based on the FIDIC form of contracts for: Civil, Mechanical & Piping.
