WORK EXPERIENCE AND ACHIEVMENT
1.BP (z) plc, Site Manager-Lumwana Mining Copper Project Solwezi:
• Maintenance and operation of plant equipment for two facilities with a combined storage and pumping capacity over close to Six million litres.
• Operation and maintenance of mobile fuel trucks
• Installation of pumps, motors and other electrical and electronic equipment both on fuel trucks and plant equipment.
• Ensuring conformance to statutory safety regulations.
• Ensuring good house keeping
• Monitoring and reporting to the BP TFM Manager on all Health Safety and Environmental issues
• Providing team leadership to a team of 20 individuals which include technicians operator, truck drivers and general workers.
I took responsibility of the Facility while it was still under construction. I worked with the project team until it was fully handed over to me for full operation.

2. Nov 2007-April 2008
BP (Z) plc, Site Manager-Konkola Mine, Chililbombwe:
• Maintenance of plant equipment including which included mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment. This included underground machinery.
• Operation of computerised refuelling systems.
• Performance monitoring and reporting on plant equipment
• Stock reconciliations.
• Providing leadership to a team of six technicians and operators.
• Developing work schedules for the team.

3. 2006 to 2007: Researcher at RuralNet Associates Limited on various short term contracts. On various projects, I was engaged as a field supervisor. I was also contracted as an engineering consultant on the “Poverty Impact Assessment and Baseline Study of the Road Sector” for Ministry of Transport and Communication. The assignment was done by RuralNet in conjunction with COWI a Danish consultancy firm. Main objective is to establish a Poverty Assessment Framework for the rural roads and involves testing various instruments for this purpose

4. 2006 to 2007: Also self-employed during this time, dealing in maize marketing.

I have competence in the following computer software packages:
AUTOCAD, Micro-Station, Microsoft word, Excel, Power-Point, Optimin and AutoPoll.

• Trained in BP standard operation procedures and HSE standards.
• Trained in defensive driving under BP Zambia.
• Trained in basic fire fighting.
• Trained in Integrity Managemet under BP.
• Trained in bund and interceptor management as well as good housekeeping in the plant. This was also under BP.
