Professional Experience
2007 – Self Employed - Ship Structure Designer
I provide technical design services to ship and boat owners, builders and repairers
I undertake ship hull scantling calculations for tugboats, pushers, pontoons and produce a full set of hull scantling plans ready for Romanian Naval Authority (class approval). Drawings include structural sections, profile, decks and shell expansion plans, everything it needs to gain structural approval and to develop working drawings.
I collaborated with Schifswerft Ebert GmbH (German company) for following inland vessels projects:
- Tank motor barge – 4560 m3
- Motor ship-push barge – 192+204 TUE (quantity of container)
- Motor ship barge – 332 TUE
- Tank motor barge – 3000 m3
- Tank motor barge – 1510 m3
For these projects I provided technical documentation, hull structure drawings, arrangement and accommodation drawings, 3D body lines drawing, welding table, shell expansion, scantling calculations in accordance with GL or BV rules.
The projects have been Germanischer Lloyd and Bureau Veritas supervision.
Designed and approval technical documentation for Anchors Pool N Standard (385, 500, 850, 1000, 1200) [kg].

2002 – AKER Braila
Naval engineer and Ship Structure Designer at Hull Design Department, responsible for lines fairing and curve modelling on several projects: research vessels, dredgers, supply vessels, RO-RO, container vessels, etc. Beginning with October 2003 I was also responsible for maintaining of different project, as system manager.
2001 – SANAB Braila
Naval engineer and Ship Structure Designer at Hull Design Department, working with AutoCAD system, involved in making of the workshop drawings for arctic trawlers, supply vessels, cargo vessels, barges and tank vessels.
2000 – S.C. Navrom S.A. Constanta
Fifth Engineer.
Embarked on 8500 tdw cargo vessel.
Maintenance and repairs of ship aggregates and installations: main engine, diesel generator, pumps, etc.
1996 - ROMNAV S.A. Braila
Manager of Fleet Department, responsible for operating the fleet of 13 tug boats and 52 barges, along Romanian Danube Sector. I was responsible for the activity of approx. 100 men. Liaised with Harbor Master's Office and Romanian Naval Authority.
