Eductation
University of Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland
PhD in Earth Sciences. December 2003
Dissertation: The determination of the geological structure and tendency of changes of the nearshore bottom at Gdynia - Orlowo based on seismoacoustic registration. Determined the state of dynamic bottom and made registration of the possible changes of the bottom and the coast in near future. To gather data for the thesis, different methods were used, such as surface morphology echosounder, side scan sonar, grab and core samples and seismoacoustic profiling.
University of Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland
Master of Science in Oceanography. Specialization: Physical Oceanography, June 1998
Masters Thesis: Classification of the nearshore bottom based on the sonar registration. Determined sedimentation structures obtained from the sonar registration, pointing to, among others, the bedload transport. Recognized the sea-floor classification on the basis of sonar imagery.
Certification
STCW Basic Safety Training, Fremont Maritime Services, Seattle, WA (U.S. Coast Guard approved) – September 2007
