Planning Engineer

• Integrating the work into a coherent project schedule that is compatible with the overall delivery targets and that reflects the nature and risk profile of the project.
• Providing Project Management support in the development and maintenance of the activities, logic, resources and progress of the approved integrated project schedule.
• Formulating work breakdown structures, system of weightages and preparing the entire project network configured in a sequential form from 'zero' date till its completion.
• Further, developing and detailing the project execution schedule for the project to lower level status in co-operation with the custodians of the planning system.
• Assessing the impact of approved changes and any deviations from the key project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and ¡¥What if?¡¦ scenarios to aid project management decision-making.
• Instigating, implementing and managing progress monitoring and reporting, integrating all contract information.
• Reviewing sub-contractor¡¦s Schedules for compliance to project targets, realism, accuracy and transparency and agreeing progress monitoring and reporting process in line with the project execution plan and verifying the availability of resources to generate the required progress.
• Assessing the effect of any potential delays or other deviations / dispensations/ changes on the overall Project Milestone completion dates and deliverability robustness.
• Developing working level interface with Client project planner to ensure full understanding of Client direction.
• Working with the Cost Engineer and Cost Estimators to ensure alignment of planning and cost control reporting and requirements.
• Monitoring, analysing and reporting cost performance against the budget, and highlighting deviations.
• Milestones based customer invoicing.
• Preparation of site Daily, Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports and ad-hoc reports as required by the project leader.
• Ensuring a continuous and timely flow of information to the Planning and Reporting Cell at the corporate level.
• Contributing to excellent HSE performance
