Hold the position of Site Manager overseeing 10 Expatriate Engineering staff and 70+ local workers executing civil, mechanical and electrical, pipeline and commissioning activities in Algeria with clients BP, Statoil and Sonatrach.
Tasked with overseeing the day to day management of minor modifications, manage mechanical construction activities, tracking and managing the delivery of project objectives.
Accountable for the execution of the EPC contract and liaising with UK based personnel from FEED study through to Technical Closeout. Projects include expansion to the infrastructure to expand the IA Project. Projects executed, but not limited to, include gathering system flow lines design, new storage facilities, hydrocarbon pipe lines, waste management systems.
Ensuring the profitability of each project, maintaining project records to monitor progress and to meet contractual obligations with production of CTR’s (cost, time, resource) reports.
Planning future works involving plant shut downs, liaising with plant engineers to identify scopes of work, safety procedures and required resources
Undertaking risk assessments, estimating and controlling costs, ordering materials and coordinating subcontractors
Implementing new ideas and improvements to promote and develop Wood Group business, thereby increasing turnover and profitability
Overseeing a large project team maximising staff performance levels by actively encouraging staff to achieve their full potential, strong leadership and the development of working environments conducive to success.
Developing productive working relationships with suppliers and contractors, updating plans, carrying out asset planning and preparing reports to key personnel.
