Senior Geotechnical Engineer

To be successful in everything I do, to aim for zero defects in the works which are under my supervision, and to be forthright and honest with with any contractor or client with whom I have to liaise.

I have very wide ranging experience in various aspects of geotechnics and construction supervision, including large scale earthworks, dewatering, embankment dam reservoirs, large diameter concrete water pipelines, concrete water retaining structures, pump stations, highways and bridges, large scale erosion protection systems, construction supervision, railway embankments, extensive geotechnical and construction materials investigations such as aggregate sources, compiling geotechnical interpretative and design reports, review of contractor design submittals, specifications, reports, and drawings etc.

In Sakhalin, I have been involved in the supervision of geotechnical issues related to oil and gas pipeline & structures installation, in remote, hazardous & mountainous areas, and with a range of geohazards, earthworks, drainage, erosion control, fault crossings, above-ground-installations, access roads etc.

In addition, I have carried out geohazard assessments in difficult terrain, with extensive river crossings, landslides etc.

I am now seeking a new position, which can offer fresh and rewarding challenges, and I am willing to relocate overseas. I am willing to work in remote and difficult places, and I am quite used to long hours.
