Career Objective
I’m eager to start a new career position as a Geologist in the oil/gas and energy industry. I have a unique blend of geology expertise, communication ability and motivation that should transfer well to the commercial productivity of your operation.
Professional Experience
As the senior Project Geologist with Technology, Engineering and Construction, Inc. (TEC), I worked in a team environment where it was mainly my task to formally propose, receive regulatory approval, conduct, and report environmental subsurface investigations. I initially assisted with soil and groundwater field investigations, but quickly developed professional skills to implement my own subsurface investigations, design and implement a variety of innovative project solutions, prepare sound and profitable budget proposals, and assist with up-selling services to clients. I’ve sampled and characterized hundreds of soil/well borings while concurrently managing/supervising drilling subcontractors and maintaining safe working conditions. I honed my technical communication skills by corresponding with project managers, engineers, chemists, clients, regulators, and subcontractors. TEC recognized my potential for promotion and groomed me to soon become a Project Manager; I acted as the Project Manager on a number of sites.
I am adept with a wide variety of software programs, including Rockworks/LogPlot and a variety of GIS, GPS and CAD programs, and I’m looking forward to developing proficiency with more geological programs. I have many years of geological field experience, conducted in a variety of settings within the academic and private sectors, that has equipped me with the tools to identify, interpret, and communicate observations relating to depositional environments, tectonic geomorphology, geologic structure, environmental hazards, etc. I have applied knowledge of geophysics, seismic interpretation, deformation modeling, neotectonics, and much more that I hope to apply as a professional geologist.

Additional Information
I could be an immediate asset by conducting subsurface data analyses (mud logging/sampling and characterizing logs, cuttings, cores, etc.), assisting with seismic interpretation, evaluating stratigraphic formations, preparing geologic maps and cross sections, writing professional reports, and delivering presentations, for I’m proficient with these tasks and interested in continuing to develop these skills. My strength is in communicating new ideas and scientific theories to audiences of all knowledge levels. Whether I’m organizing interdisciplinary projects, implementing new technologies, training and mentoring colleagues, or reporting investigation findings to clients, I get fulfillment from learning and communicating new things. I look forward to being part of a safe and productive team.
