I have experience of five years as a Customs Broker / Freight Forwarder in the Freight Forwarding industry gained in renowned multinational organizations providing customs clearance, transportation and logistics services to a vast range of clients. • Company Focus: Unique Logistics is a leading freight forwarding and customs clearance agency working in close relationship with WT Cargo at Heathrow airport.

Role: Airfreight/Sea-freight Imports Coordinator

Key Tasks: Customs clearance using ASM Gems System for various commodities ranging from gifts and samples to aircraft and automobile parts and garments. My responsibilities included customs entries, customer services, resolving queries, providing quotes and arranging logistics and transportation. I have also been involved with customers’ vat returns and invoicing on FM2000 system.

June 2004 – March 2008: Seabourne Forwarding Ltd. (UK)
• Company Focus: Seabourne is a group of renowned freight forwarding and courier companies specialising in various sectors of the cargo and shipping industry. It is the official service provider to predominantly all foreign embassies and large petroleum and garment companies within the UK. Services include out of gauge cargo handling, logistics and transportation of aircraft and heavy machinery parts to all over the world.

Role: Airfreight Imports Supervisor

Key Tasks:I have supervised the data entry and logistics staff on airfreight imports along with generating daily performance sheets and providing updates to higher management. My role was to support the operational staff and ensure that the customer services duties were performed properly.Under my supervision all disputes and queries with the shipping lines, airlines, handling agents, transporters and sub-contractors were resolved amicably and efficiently.Operational job costing, invoicing and dealing with operational enquiries and general accounting queries.
