piping engineer/mechanical engineer

working on a very challenging project for the North Sea that enabled me to enhance my understanding of thorough specifications standards.At the peak of activity, the workload represented 10,700 spools for 4,800 isometrics of different materials.

Job Profile :
•Preparation of material take off and reports both via PDMS system and manually, preparation of material requisition , bulk material take off .
•Coordination with Deputy Project Manager and generate MTO for structural supports,welded attached supports,clamps and prepare material requisition for the same.
•Coordination with PDMS designer for isometrics extraction from PDMS ( IDF/PLT files) which is input for the generating spool/fabrication drawing.
•To coordinate, guide and help Contractors to generate fabrication drawing to achieve target.
•To coordinate with fabrication team and solve/answer Contractors (1. Shawnass,2. Al Shabia, 3. Adyard) technical queries regarding fabrication,material replacements, specification,drawings,painting requirements etc.
Checking of Isometric Diagrams and maintain, update Isometrics Master tracker (IMR) and make sure that fabrication was carried out using the latest revisions in liaison with the fabrication team and also helping and coordinating with the test pack team with regards to recent isometrics drawings.
•Coordinate with site team, lead designer to update DCF (design change form) in PDMS and update the model as per as built isometrics.
•To coordinate with Deputy Project Manager and help to allocate manufacturer scope and prepare spool fabrication plans as per material availability and accordingly realease bulk MTO to store. Follow up for Fabrication status for execution.
•To coordinate with Deputy Project Manager, Quality Coordinator and help to prepare and keep track of:
-valve for PED requirements,
-submission to DNV for approval;
-follow-up of Norsok standard, ASME, ASTM standard and PED (European Pressure Equipment directive) requirements.
•To coordinate with QA Head for preparation of Quality Plans and Procedures for Self Manufactured and Bought out Items as per QA requirements of projects during manufacturing, erection and commissioning stages and to get approval by customer.
•Responsible for coordinate, arrange, prepare documentation and facilitate pre dispatch inspection and QA requirements with customers and nominated inspection agency.
•To carry out inspection of various bought out items like different types of valves, pipes, fitting, and air cylinder at vendor premises etc.
•To prepare MTO reports for using PDMS software and place order for them .
