1993 -Present Control Technician, North Atlantic Refining Ltd.
- Responsible for the safe & efficient operation of refinery process units.
- Ensure products are on spec.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient daily operation of the following units: crude unit, vacuum unit, viscosity unit, kerosene merox unit, amine regeneration unit, light ends recovery unit, LSR unit.
- Guide field operators through planned maintenance shut downs and start ups and during emergency situations of the above mentioned units.
- Field coordinator for the upgrade of the LSR unit.
1999 - Present Union Executive – Vice President/ Treasurer, United Steelworkers Local 9316
- Responsible for the accounting /bookkeeping of all union financial expenditures.
- Attend monthly labor management meetings to maintain ongoing communication between union members and management.
- Facilitate the implementation of union campaigns and decisions made at union meetings.
- Promote democracy and ensure the involvement and representation of all union members.
- Promote and support the mandate of the Steelworkers Union.
- Assume role as Union President, when required, of local union ( 500 plus members).
