Working as a PETROPHYSICIST in India

I would like to work as a professional petrophysicist in the petroleum exploration & production industry

• Experience : July 2007 to Present

• Trained and experienced in QC data acquisition and operations of LWD, open hole & cased hole tools covering radioactive, resisitivity, acoustic, NMR & imaging tools of Schlumberger & Baker Atlas, also monitored jobs on Deep Water rigs. Experience of handling all kinds of data formats used in the industry during data acquisition, real time data communications and processing.

• Trained and experienced in the interpretations and operations of the gravel pack evaluation tools like RST, RPM, Packscan etc. during the lower completions of the production wells.

• Good knowledge and Working experience in two major petrophysical softwares “Geolog” and “Geoframe” & also know basics in “IP”. In the process, got understanding of data requirement for the purpose of formation evaluation.

• Immense work done in Thin beds (Laminated Shaly Sand Analysis) from KG basin deepwater, deterministic(conventional methods) and probabilistic Multimineral analysis in Geolog (Multimin) & GEOFRAME (Elan), knowledge of Geoframe (OBMI, FMI & CMR processing)

• Integration of data from various sources like ECS(Elemental Captured Spectroscopy), NMR, Mud logs, LWD logs, open hole logs, RCI/MDT data, conventional core and side wall core. Use it in building good petrophysical model & estimating petrophysical parameters. It gives an opportunity to develop interpersonal skills with in the group and outside the group.

• Petrophysical & geological interpretation of Borehole image logs such as OBMI, CMR, and DSI etc.

• Attended the workshop at core house of 800 metres long cores from Deep water KG Basin in India, interpreted and correlated the logs to cores.

• Member of the subsurface team of Reliance Industries (E & P), involved in the first successful development & production (Gas Production started) in the deep water Krishna-Godavari basin in India.

• Individually handled two multilateral development oil wells in deep water KG basin.

• Presently working with “Reservoir Characterization Group” on independent deepwater, shallow water, & land projects of different stratigraphic units from different basins in India.
