I understand that a roustabout's job is physically demanding, very hands-on and practical and I am aware that most of the work is carried out under the supervision of a lead roustabout; however I know that my capabilities and skills would allow me to be versatile in this line of work.
I understand working hours on rigs and platforms are normally 12 hours on and 12 hours off continuously for two or three weeks, followed by an equal amount of rest period at home. I can relate to this type of shift pattern as I have previously worked on power stations away from home. I would be willing to work any hours that are available to me. This includes any public holiday or festive seasons.
I am also prepared and eager to undertake and finance any other training that is needed or offered to me to gain a vital position in your organization. Given the chance I assure you I would not disappoint and would play a vital part in your team.
