Experience Summary: 2 years of Experience in APTRANSCO 400/220KV substation, mamidipally, Hyderabad.
• Worked on ABB scada system at the above substation.
• Good knowledge of substation equipment and their protection.
• Involved in monitoring and controlling of power system especially automatic power generation and distribution.
• Worked on NTPC Ramagundum Power Plant power monitoring system.
The APTRANSCO 400/220 KV substation at mamidipally, Hyderabad is the state load dispatch center (SLDC) for Andhra Pradesh state. It is also the area load dispatch center (ALDC) for Hyderabad region. ABB India supplied the SCADA SYSTEM for this substation and others substations too. The existing computerized LD center is established by APSEB provides and facility with real time data acquired from 102 stations, out of them 19 are generating stations ,3 are 400KV grid substations, 71 are 220KV substations and 9 are 120KV substations spread over the ANDHRA PRADESH state.
Job Designation : Assistant Engineer (scada and protection)
Job Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and controlling of power at above substation using ABB SCADA SYSTEM.
• Inspecting various devices in SCADA SYSTEM and replacing them in case of fault.
• Commissioning, maintenance and protection of equipments.
• Assisting the senior electrical engineer in protection and installation of substation equipment.
• Visiting and inspecting functioning of SCADA SYSTEM in APCPDCL substations in Hyderabad and Secundrabad

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (J.N.T.U), Hyderabad (A.P) – India with an aggregate of 76.5% and distinction

1. Undergone Professional training in CERTIFIED AUTOMATION ENGINEERING at ATI-EPI, HYDERABAD from GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.
2. ALLEN BRADLEY PLC (SLC 500 Family) programming and Applications.
3. SIEMENS S7-300, S7-400 programming.
4. Automation using MICRO PLCs( SIEMENS LOGO)
5. SCADA programming for DCS

Project undertaken
Project Title : Monitoring and controlling of power system using SCADA.
Company : APTRANSCO
Project Location : 400/220 KV substation located at mamidipally, Hyderabad (A.P) India.
Duration : From June, 2007 - July, 2009
Summary : The project dealt with live study of SCADA system which will receive analog and digital data from the loads and control them using relays.
• Integration of various elements in SCADA in depth, data acquisition, monitoring and control.
• Analyzing the SCADA in grid formation and interconnection of different grids effectively in India.
• Achieving substation and power system automation by evaluating various elements, features and nature of SCADA.
• Energy management system and its efficiency in India .Problems of black outs, grid collapse and solution.
In order to show all these things a prototype model of SCADA system is build and demonstrated in front of Chief engineer of APTRANSCO and our solutions for problems were suggested.
