Process Engineer

6 years of solid experience in field of chemical and process engineering ranging from research, process engineering and project engineering (Chemical and Petrochemicals Industries). Skills and Responsibilities, I acquired during these years are
1. Performing process simulation to generate heat and mass balance calculations, preparation of system properties using process simulation softwares
2. Performing process calculations such as process equipment sizing (pumps, compressors, vessels, tanks, column, heat exchangers), line hydraulics (single-phase and two-phase), relief system design (safety valve load determination and sizing calculations), process vent sizing, control valve sizing based on relevant code of practices.
3. Preparation of key process engineering deliverables such as Process & Instrumentation Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, Design Pressure and Temperature Diagram, Material Selection Diagram, Line List, Tie-in List, Equipment List, Relief and Blowdown summary, Process specification for process equipments (Tanks, Vessels, Heat exchangers, Columns, Pumps, Compressors), instruments (Safety valves, Breather valves, Rupture disc, Control valves), Process packages, Utility packages.
4. To participate in HAZOP and safety related studies and close the action items thereby.
5. Verification of vendor documents for compliance of process requirements and good engineering practices.
6. Detailed engineering follow up with various engineering disciplines for technical clarifications, design changes, interfacing with vendors and reviewing vendor information/drawings.
7. Hands on Experience in the Process simulation software such as HYSYS, ASPEN PLUS, PRO II
8. Hands on Experience in other software such as FLARENET, AFT products.
9. Adequately conversant in the basic required codes such API 520, 521, 2000
