Project Engineer

Professional Engineer with 17 years post graduate experience. I currently work as a Project Engineer - field with a Shell Canada in-situ project. I am looking for a job in the Middle East to further my experience in the oil and gas industry.

Project Engineer – Field (Shell Canada Limited) Nov. 2006 to date

* Shell representative in EPC office in Calgary during the Select Phase for the multi-billion dollar Carmon Creek project
* Review of technical specifications prior to submission to EPC contractor.
* Participated in the project's Value Improvement Exercise for the field facilities yielding a savings of over $1billion.
* Contributed to successful delivery of the project's VAR3 and ESAR3.

Process engineer (Shell Nig Expl &Prod Co.) June 2003 to March 2006

* Part of the Shell project team of construction and commissioning of a $4.5b FPSO in offshore Nigeria. Participated in relevant Factory Acceptance Tests, pre-commissioning system check out procedure development and commissioning activities.
* Reviewed detail design, hazard and operability (HAZOP) closed out relevant HAZOP action items.
* Responsible for the sub-sea well unloading process design.
* Coordinated part of Plant Operating Procedure Manual reviews and operations input for the topsides and sub sea systems.
* Participated in facilities offshore surveillance planning and set up.
* Took active role in Technical integrity verification of the offshore facilities prior to commissioning.

Facilities/ Project Engineer (Shell Pet Dev Co, SPDC)
March 2000 to June 2003

* Day-to-day facilities support and design modifications for operational oil and gas surface facilities for the Southern Swamp area of SPDC-W.
* Led a team of Engineers in the flowline construction, hook-up and commissioning of a six-well cluster.
* Conducted flowstation capacity test and subsequent de-bottlenecking of a 60bbl/d flowstation in SPDC.
* Flowline installation for old and new wells in the swamp.
* Led team in delivering focused Engineering service towards achievement of ISO14001.

Front-end Engineer (Shell Pet Dev Co, SPDC) Oct 1996 to Feb 2000

* Developed technical proposals and plans for new fields in SPDC Southern Swamp area. Developed scenarios and strategies for getting the crude to the export terminal and initiated relevant regulatory permit applications for the fields.
* Acted as the departmental HSE focal point for 1 year and was responsible for HSE data reporting, unsafe act/condition auditing and dissemination of HSE incidents and lessons learnt.
