Job Title:Radio Access Engineer
Department:Field maintenance Department
Responsible To: Field Maintenance Supervisor

Main Duties:
•Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Ericsson network equipment (BTS and Microwave).
•Resolve site outages
•Maintenance of transmission link (Sagem and Ceragon radios)
•Monitoring of both PDH and SDH transmission links on NMS specifically Sagem and Ceragon
•Configuration of external alarms for Ericsson RBS 2000 family
•Maintenance of compression equipment (i.e. GMUX and Celtro Dynamate)
•Configuration of trails on transmission NMS
•Clear Rx diversity loss alarms and other BS alarms on Ericsson 2000 family RBS.
•Implement cell site expansions as and when it is necessary.
•Ensure that all alarms (BTS and microwave related) are cleared in a timely manner. Aim is that no alarms are found on sites.
•Commission of new cell sites.
•Assist with the implementation of interconnect links from switch to other operator facilities.
•Perform any other duties assigned from time to time
•Can effectively work with BER meter, Spectrum analyser, Power meter

Main Duties:

•Provide technical support activities to customers pertaining issues with RBS,BSC,MGW,HLR,MSC-S,MSC/VLR,RNC in the market unit
•Work on all customer service request(CSR)
•Liaise between customer and Ericsson for new feature implementation
•Attend to all emergency CSRs opened by customer
•Implementation of system feature
•Perform software upgrade and update on BSCs,MSC/VLR,HLR,MGW,RNC,etc
•Work on APG40C/2 and APG40C/4
