I am seeking an opportunity within a large organisation for employment within the capacity of Directional Drilling Operations/Business Development or Senior Directional Drilling Supervisor.

Previous Experience:

September 2007 to present:

Working as a Senior Directional Drilling supervisor/Operation Co-ordinator with
Intelligent Drilling Systems in Oman mainly in the field, working for MEDCO Oil and Gas LLC.
Experience included: Horizontal and Multi-lateral wells in the South of Oman for the Medco small fields development programme. The work has involved significant Operations Co-ordinating, drilling engineering, well planning and technical support, in the Medco Muscat Office. Also responsible for HSE procedures and implementation.

January 2007 to August 2007:

Senior Directional Drilling Supervisor working in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia for Precision Directional Drilling Services for Adco in Abu Dhabi and Aramco in Saudi Arabia. Experience included: Horizontal wells in the Bu Hassa field, Abu Dhabi, using conventional methods, and horizontal wells in the Safanyah field offshore Saudi using a Rotary Steerable System in 81/2” and 6” hole sections




May 2000 to December 2006:

Senior Directional Drilling Supervisor with Tiebo Middle East, working for ADMA,
ADCO and ZADCO. Also for NIOC in Iran.

Experience included: Performance drilling 17 ½”& 12 ¼” hole sections, 8 ½”curve and 6”horizontal directional sections for ADCO. Low to medium tangent wells for ADMA along with high stepout 8 ½” wells with 6” horizontal sections. Dual Lateral wells (6”) for ZADCO. Rotary Steerable System in 12 ¼”hole sections for both ADMA and ADCO.


March 1995 – May 2000:
Directional Drilling Supervisor for
Target Well Control, working in the North Sea and Europe.
Experience included: Development work for Enterprise Oil and Phillips Conoco, offshore U.K. Coiled Tubing Drilling in Italy for Agip. Conventional and Coiled Tubing Drilling onshore U.K for Pentex, Roc Oil, Candecca and Star Energy with most work entailing Horizontal Wells.
I have also worked for Unocal in the Gulf of Thailand on the Palin D and E development program.


March 1986 to March 1995:
Teleco / Baker-Hughes Inteq, as MWD/LWD Engineer, working mainly in the North Sea and Europe. I worked mainly as a Triple Combo Formation Evaluation Engineer.

November 1983 to February 1986:
Anadrill Schlumberger:
Mud Logging Engineer/Geologist and Trainee MWD Engineer, working on U.K land and Offshore N. Sea, and Norway.

My highest level of education obtained 1s: BSc(hons)2/1 in
Geology from Kingston University, London 1983

I am at present looking for opportunities with alternative companies in the capacity of Directional Drilling Co-ordinator/Senior Directional Drilling Supervisor, or Drilling Engineer. I am looking to work preferably in the Far East as resident, or on a rotation, as required.

I consider myself self-motivated, conscientious, reliable, and have always worked as a team player. I can communicate well, at all levels in the drilling environment. I am easy going, and tend to get on well with most people.
