As well as reading fiction and Readers Digest for personal enjoyment, I subscribe to several publications including Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Electronic Design, EDN, Mix Magazine, Sound On Sound, Elektor, etc..
Computer Hardware Repair
I designed my own analogue computer at the age 14 and my first digital computer at the age of 18 and have been interested in computer design every since. I have an in-house workshop where I enjoy identifying computer problems (both hardware & software) and enjoy the challenge of solving issues for people.
Geneology
When my father passed I was given the family bible and a number of documents and began tracing my family history. I am currently back to 1515 and discovered a connection with King Henry the VIIIs last father in law, Sir Thomas Parr of Kendal.
Travel
Having worked in Russia, Japan, the Netherlands, and Africa I have also travelled to the Carribean, the USA, Mexico and I have made several trips to the United Kingdom to trace my familys heritage. I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends and learning about different ways of life.
