• Managed the installation of Harris cellular telephone base stations throughout Benin

Celcom Electronics Ltd., Calgary
• Designed unique electronic devices to meet the specific needs of customers, primarily in the communications industry
• Developed the motor control and positioning systems for a helicopter deployed seismic staking system
• Designed an automatic interface for the Aurora radio telephone system
• Designed a FAX/DATA interface for 2-way radio
• Designed a very small helicopter to deploy multiple repeater systems to reduce deployment expenditure
• Designed several clandestine video and audio devices for a private investigation company

I have participated in a number of amateur productions and currently have an in-house digital recording suite and have produced demos for a number of singers and musicians. I also have couple of digital video cameras and record then edit productions on an informal basis.

As well as reading fiction and Reader’s Digest for personal enjoyment, I subscribe to several publications including Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Electronic Design, EDN, Mix Magazine, Sound On Sound, Elektor, etc..

• Computer Hardware Repair
I designed my own analogue computer at the age 14 and my first digital computer at the age of 18 and have been interested in computer design every since. I have an in-house workshop where I enjoy identifying computer problems (both hardware & software) and enjoy the challenge of solving issues for people.

• Geneology
When my father passed I was given the family bible and a number of documents and began tracing my family history. I am currently back to 1515 and discovered a connection with King Henry the VIII’s last father in law, Sir Thomas Parr of Kendal.

• Travel
Having worked in Russia, Japan, the Netherlands, and Africa I have also travelled to the Carribean, the USA, Mexico and I have made several trips to the United Kingdom to trace my family’s heritage. I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends and learning about different ways of life.
