A few years ago I had the opportunity to train as a Directional Driller at the request of the DD co-ordinator and with the permission of the MWD manager but unfortunately due to circumstances out with my control I was unable to take the position. My situation now is that I am willing to retrain if an opportunity arises as I have done some training already and have a good understanding of the job having been an MWD engineer for over 12 years. Also I am able to supply several references from supervisors and managers in the DD and MWD dept. I consider myself to have a flexible and hardworking attitude to the job and should an MWD or any other opportunity arise any where I would be glad to be considered for it. Also I would looking to further my career with an operating company and undertake any training required and I believe my 18 years in the industry in the drilling side of operations as an Engineer would stand me in good stead. I have worked all over the Middle East, North Sea and now in Thailand and have a varried understanding of the industry, different drilling conditions and a good idea of how technological advances will affect business and the way it is done in the future.
