Sulphur Utilization Research Assistant

Work in the sulphur R&D group in the formulation, preparation and testing of sulphur concrete, a novel building material. Perform testing of material in accordance with standards required including British Standard, Qatar Construction Standard, ASTM, AASHTO, and European Norm. Specify, acquire, and commission equipment or supplies necessary for research activities. Collect and manage and analyze test data. Execute primarily self-directed work in color formulation. Design and develop unique molding techniques specific to the unusual requirements of sulphur concrete. Prepare progress reports for the sulphur concrete experimental work.

QA/QC Controller Inspector Pipeline Internal and External Coating
September 2004 to April 2008, Raymond International, Kuwait City Kuwait

Responsible for ensuring quality testing of material, daily production of cement pipe lining, and inspection of each day’s finished production. Ensured that quality tests and inspection are performed in accordance with standard procedure from AWWA (American Water work Association) ASTM and British Standards. Performed QC and inspection of internal (fusion bond epoxy) coating of pipeline, as well as external heat shrink sleeves for seamless pipe to protect the weld bead of the pipe.
Assisted QA/QC supervisor in review and approval of contractor management system documentation and presented daily site quality reports to QA/QC supervisor or overall project supervisor. Managed quality reports on site as well as ensured inspection and testing for the client followed the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
