I also create schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems; researching and installing new systems; for the smooth running of all systems including anti-virus software, print services and email provision.

Duties included LAN/WAN daily operations: Design and deployment of network servers (Windows 2003/2008, Red Hat Linux server) and workstations, router & switch configurations/Access lists - maintained router and switch configurations, updated and changed configurations depending on corporate requirements; documentation - insured current documentation is kept on LAN/WAN configurations, frame-relay and point-to-point circuits, along with circuit IDs, and DLCIs for all of Sequent's circuits worldwide; DNS & DHCP - Management of HQ and field office DNS; LAN/WAN monitoring / Vendor Contact. Creating spread sheets for all outages, giving start and end times, their duration and cause. Responsible for taking server backups and Troubleshooting of network problems
