Construction Engineer (Construction Department)

Project Description:

• ELAB is one of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) constructing a Linear Alkyl Benzene complex with a total annual production capacity of 100,000 MTA.
• Project duration: 29 months started on 15th of February 06.
• Contractors: Consortium of the Korean G.S E&C Company, Petrojet and Enppi.



Duties summary:
• Reviewing all the specification and standards for the project.
• Supervising the fabrication, inspection and erection works for the Underground and aboveground piping of different materials (Carbon Steel, Galvanized Steel, Stainless Steel, Polypropylene coated Carbon Steel and GRE), following up all necessary inspections (NDT, Hydro test, Pneumatic test).
• Solving the erection problems and site modifications during the work and draw the as built drawings.
• Preparing the punch list for every piping system.
• Erection of different stationary equipments such as “Vessels, Columns, and Heat Exchangers", following up all necessary inspections including orientation, leveling, alignment, material inspection …… etc.".
• Erection of storage tanks with different capacities, following up all necessary inspections including Bulk material receiving, roundness, peaking, banding, and plumpness, all NDT required inspections as required by standard and code (Vacuum Box test for the bottom welds, PT for the fillet welds, RT for butt joints) and installing all tank accessories.
• Controlling the manpower and the heavy equipment to carry out the activities.
• Supervising all pre-commissioning, commissioning and Start up activates.
• Responsible for mechanical work of a complete unit (Reformate splitter unit) in the project (piping erection, equipment erection, steel structure erection, storage tanks erection).
• Responsible for fabrication, welding and erection of LAB export line from ELAB to Alexandria Port (9 km long), following up all necessary tests.
• Erection of different steel structure pipe racks, following up all necessary inspections including tightening of bolts, verticality, alignment …… etc.".
• Fully aware with Computerized Maintenance & Management System (CMMS).
• Responsible for the Coding of the project’s spare parts according to SHELL code.

Graduation Project : Optimization of Transportation of Pipeline Transmission Systems

Project Description:
• The project is a complete design of crude oil pipeline system including the usage of Visual Basic in Hydraulic analysis and Surge analysis.
• Using 8051 Micro controller for automation of pipeline scenarios and SCADA system for continuous monitoring pipeline and pump selection under the supervision of SUMED.
• Route selection by using GIS under supervision of QSIT.
• Complete economical analysis for the project under the supervision of WEPCO.
• Tasks : Hydraulic analysis and pump selection.
• Project Grade : Excellent (97%).
