Instrumention and Control Technician

To carry out configuration, installation, commissioning and maintenance of measurement & control equipment down to component level in order to facilitate the achievement of high standard of process efficiency, equipment protection & personnel safety.

Attending to instrumentation breakdowns in the Electrolysis , Nitric Acid,
Ammonia Synthesis, Water treatment, Air Separation, Steam Raising and Ammonium Nitrate plants.

Performing standbys for the whole plant.

Upgrading of pneumatic control loops to electronic.

Servicing telephones and weighing scales.

Experienced in ultrasonic, magnetic, DP, bubbler & radiation based Level measurement. Worked with Endress & Hauser, Yokogawa, Fischer-Rosemount & Foxboro transmitters both Pneumatic and Electronic.

Carrying out scheduled maintenance on plant instrumentation and keeping inventory of all plant instruments.

Pressure, Level measurement & the instrumentation utilized there in.

Temperature measurement using Thermocouples, RTDs & gas in tube sensors.

IR & thermal conductivity gas analysis. N2, H2, CO2 & NH3 gases analysis.

PLC programming and implementation and have practical experience in Omron, Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley packages i.e. RS Logix and RS Linx.

Implementing new projects interpretation and creation of Process and Instrument diagram.

Overhauling and servicing control valves, pneumatic transmitters and controllers, electro-pneumatic converters and valve positioners and switches.

Computerized planned maintenance system COSWIN 5.23.

Trade tested August 2009 - Class One.
