Senior Field Operator

Have a strong knowledge in Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) operations and processes.
Understand start up and shut down process and procedures of the FCC unit.

Operation Units and Systems

Rx-Reg. Unit:
• Fully understand the operation, start up and shut down of the Main Air Blower.
• Lightening the Direct Fired Air Heater and Steam Super Heater.
• Engaging the Slide Valves
• Inventory and Withdrawal of fresh and equilibrium catalyst
• Start up and Shut down of Motor and Turbine pumps
• Monitoring and Inspection of process operating equipments such as Motor and Turbine pumps, Main Air Blower, Flue Gas Steam Generator, Steam Super heater, Slide Valves and Hydraulics
• Preparing chemical solutions and monitoring dosing
• Putting the Reactor-Regenerator unit in a safe mode in case of emergency
• Provide on-the-job training to new recruits (technicians)


Gasconcentration Unit:

• Fully understand the operation, start up and shut down procedures of the Wet Gas Compressor (WGC)
• Start up and shut down of motor and turbine pumps
• Start up and shut down of Instrument/Refinery Air Compressors and the Nitrogen PSA
• Monitoring and Inspection of process operating equipments such as Columns, Vessels, Wet Gas Compressor, Instrument/Refinery Air Compressors, Nitrogen PSA
• Handle emergency situations at the Gasconcentration and utility units

LPG and Gasoline Merox Unit:

• I have a well knowledge in standard, operating and procedures (Including starting-up and shut down) of the unit

MAJOR TASKS:
• Routinely check and fill checklist of operational parameters and report any anomalies to supervisor
• Assist the Quality control personnel undertake sample
• Prepare, inject chemical additives and adjust rates when necessary
• Prepare equipments for maintenance works
• Start and operate equipments as per SOP.
• Ensures good housekeeping
