Dear Sir,

I am a Qualified Civil Engineer and I have 15+ years of working experience in the Design, Planning, Materials and Projects Departments.

I have been working as Structural Engineer with M/s.Amey Engg Consultants, Dubai.(April2009-May 2009)

I had worked in the Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Co. Ltd, Kochi, Kerala, India from September 1993 onwards till August 2008.

In the design I am experienced in the preparation of design calculations, drawings, estimates and bill of materials of various types of Industrial Structures - Concrete as well as Steel Structures - multistoried buildings, truss roofed workshop buildings, light vehicle loaded bridges(one way traffic) and foot bridges,gates,hoists and hoist supporting structure for dams etc.

In planning department my duties were:
Arrangement of manpower and materials to the site/shop floor, monitor progress of work, preparation of production plan, production reports and arranging dispatch of finished goods from shop to site. I have worked in planning, coordinating the activities of Design Dept, Materials Dept, Production Dept and Marketing Dept.

As project coordinator I used to visit the sites and assess the progress of work and used to extend necessary guidance from the Design Office to the site. Have followed-up the procurement of materials for these works (checking the specifications). Used to prepare reports based on work at site and submit to the Unit head. All the correspondences to the clients were done by me.

My duties in Materials department were: Collection of purchase requisition from Planning Department, check whether all the required specifications are included in the Purchase requisition, sending enquiries to competitive / standard vendors, collection of quotations in the time specified, preparing comparative statement and proposal for purchasing the materials and submitting the same to the Unit Head / Managing Director and obtaining Approval, Preparation of Purchase Orders and sending it to the successful bidder, follow up for getting the materials in time at site/store.

Also I have worked as Officer in Charge of the civil maintenance works of the unit for the last two years (from June 2006 to Aug 2008)
