Process Control Engineer

I am looking for a Process Control Engineering job in the Middle East region. I have good experience with implementing and supporting Advanced Process Control systems.

2002- … SUNCOR ENERGY, MONTRÉAL REFINERY
AUTOMATION GROUP

Part of the Automation Team as a process control engineer, responsible of supporting the Distributed Control System (DCS) and the process advanced control applications at the Refinery. Worked on designing and implementing advanced control applications (RMPCT) on crude units, hydrocracker unit, hydrogen plant and hydrotreater unit. Worked on implementing product monitoring and mass balancing Honeywell softwares (Production Tracker & Production Balance) to perform daily balances within and around the refinery. Responsible for supporting / maintaining Honeywell suite products (PHD historian, AFM, Asset Manager, PT, PB, TCT and more).


1998 -2002 - ACCENTURE (PREVIOUSLY ANDERSEN CONSULTING BEFORE JANUARY 1ST 2001)
CONSULTANT

Worked on the Projet Business Transformation project (Toronto). Was responsible for the functional and the detailed design of an eligibility engine tool using Aion as the development technology. Supervision of a testing team and a reporting development group. Coordination of the application implementation for the Ontarian Eastern region. Also worked on the Alcan Finance 2000 project (Montréal). The Finance-2000 project was a global financial solution for more than 70 plants/sites in 6 different countries. Worked in the conversion team using Visual Basic to create migration utilities to perform the application transition.


1996-1997 - ULTRAMAR, ST-ROMUALD REFINERY
TRAINEE ENGINEER, PROJECT DEPARTMENT

As a trainee engineer, worked on different projects like: Ultratrain start-up project, train transporting finished products between the refinery and terminal location. Was also responsible for the reference documentations’ redaction including the process flow diagrams, the instrumentation information, the security and emergency plans, etc. Managed the train unloading optimization at the terminal to reduce unwanted organic emissions to the atmosphere.
