Drilling supervisor @ land & jackup rigs

Drilling & Work-over operations:
• Supervise drilling operation for onshore wells.
• Work as night shift drilling supervisor @ jack up rigs.
• Supervise work-over activities for both onshore & offshore wells (well completion, TCP gun, electric wire line, overbalance & under balance perforation… etc.)
• Follow up all drilling phases including running of casing, liners, & cement operation.
• Prepare daily drilling report.
• Follow up mud pumps, shale shakers, de-sander, centrifuge & OBM solid control equipment (auger, Hi-G dryer & Hi-speed centrifuge).
• Follow up various mud tests to ensure proper mud properties.
• Perform well site calculations e.g. cement jobs.
• Supervise installing of float equipment & centralizers on pipe rack before running casing.
• Attend daily planning meeting with rig supervisor.
• Prepare 24-hours look ahead with rig supervisor.
• Ensure well control event preparedness (SCR, LOT, FIT, vertical & horizontal kick sheets, shut in procedure… etc.).
• Supervise BOP function & pressure tests.
• Follow up & ensure drilling parameters & bit hydraulic optimization during drilling.
• Drill string design and downhole dynamics.
• Pore Pressure/Fracture Pressure evaluation.
• Bits / Dull Grading.
• Hydraulics, including nozzle selection.


• Fishing operations in open & cased hole.
• Supervise installing & pressure test for wellheads, X-mas trees & well completion.
• Supervise critical activities such as landing, cementing & testing casing.
• Follow up mud logger activity.
• Follow up MWD & LWD activities while drilling deviated well.
• Have very good knowledge in down-hole mud motor.
• Supervise setting of open hole & cased hole cement plugs & bridge plug operations.
• Follow up DST & electric wire line operations (RFT, MDT, PLT, RST...etc).
• Update log book & ensure adequate hand over.
• Comprehensive knowledge of well control best practices.
• Skilled application of drilling engineering and well planning.
• Thorough understanding of Rig Systems and Rig Floor Operations.

B.Sc. degree in petroleum engineering (Cairo University – year 2000).

IWCF certificate issued by IWCF school - valid to November, 2011.

Computer skills:
• Expert in utilization of computers and application of Microsoft office.
• Internet skills.
Soft skills :
Presentation - Interpersonal communication.
Language skills:
• Arabic: Mother tongue.
• English: Very good (writing & speaking).
