Ø Worked as a SAFETY OFFICER in Chandra Constructions & Contractors, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. from Febuary 2005 to September 2008.

SAFETY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

q Advising the Construction Manager / Site Manager / Coordinator / Site-in-Charge about the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment Plan in line with the company policy procedures and standards and the requirements of project.

q Advising the Engineers, Supervisors, Foreman, permit applicants and holders about HSE as and as when required.

q Monitoring HSE during site visit. Formulating new HSE measures at sites and reporting the performance of new safety measures to HSE Manager.

q Monitoring implementation of HSE plan including “STOP” (Safety Training Observation Programme) Programme.

q Preparing monthly report on project. HSE statistics and “STOP” analysis. Ensuring the submission of monthly report. to Contracts Manager and Project Manager / Coordinator.

q Arranging adequate HSE Training for all staff and monitoring records for the same.

q Assisting in Accident / Incident investigation / Reporting / Close out.

q Reviewing Tool Box Talks.

q Taking part in HSE meetings at Corporate and project level.


q Assisting HSE Manager in preparing HSE documentation and in development and presentation of training courses.


q Ensuring proper distribution and control of all HSE documents

q Providing feedback to HSE Manager, however at site he will assist and give advice to Construction Manger / Site Manger / Project Manager / Area Coordinator / Site In-charge for HSE Activities.
