Career History

SESCo., Tripoli, Libya. Operations Manager January 2007 To Date
Supporting the existing divisions of SESCo. (including Wilson Supply, Cummins Power Generation, Fleetguard, 3M Electrical, Global ES, Ilasco, Cameron, Gardner Denver Mud Pump and Compressor Divisions, Graco), providing sales, service, warranty and rental, as well as sourcing future franchises.

SESCo. Oilfield supplies department is a Joint Venture between Wilson, CE Franklin and SESCo. Currently being established as a classic supply store, to mirror both Wilson UK and CE Franklin supply store models worldwide. A 100% Libyan owned company, with predominantly Libyan staff.

Ensuring staff are trained in all aspects of quality management, working closely with the Human Resources department to ensure that all personnel receive the required training to reach and maintain the relevant standards to achieve ISO status as required by the UK, USA and Canadian Partners.

Wilson UK LTD. Gt. Yarmouth, UK. Export Sales Manager May 1995 – December 2006

Wilson UK Ltd is a stocking distributor of paint equipment, spray paint equipment, valve, flanges, linepipe, regulators, drill pipe and drilling items.

Maintaining client communication, establishing requirements; locating and obtaining required materials; maintaining adequate stock controls; completing quotations and orders. Building a sound knowledge of transportation procedures including all necessary paperwork for import / export. Supervision of staff in the Great Yarmouth office, 16 personnel at that time. Employing new staff as required and discipline of staff when necessary.

I joined Wilson UK as a warehouseman – delivery driver and progressed through the company to join the Sales Team. Through dedication and commitment I was promoted to Export Sales Manager in 2002 and was in control of the budget for the Great Yarmouth Export office. I was then relocated to Hassi Messaoud, Algeria on behalf of Wilson UK to help establish the Algerian office on a one year rotational contract, before returning to the Great Yarmouth office.

I have just completed a three year contract in Tripoli, Libya and I am currently seeking a new position.
Having worked within the oil & gas supply industry, for over 15 years, I have the experience and commitment required to fulfill the demands of both national and international postings.
I have considerable experience in managing remote supply bases both in Libya and Algeria, of which the Libya operation I was also responsible for establishing. Both these positions involved inventory control processes and procedures, as did many of my positions before working overseas. My time in both Libya and Algeria involved continuous contact with drilling operations, either through distant communications, or on-site visits to ensure effective, efficient and safe planning and execution. Additionally, all positions have required me to coordinate shipping, as well as ongoing service and maintenance contracts.
Many of my positions during my career have required me to train and lead staff. In overseas positions, this training and nurturing has generally been with the goal of ensuring local staff are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge to continue operations after expat staff have departed.
