Present Position: CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
.
• Execute new and upgrade projects related to process control and automation systems (DCS), ESD systems, fire and gas systems, and various field automation and control systems.
• Direct external and internal resources in carrying out various project related activities.
• Execute approved projects ensuring all technical, logistical and financial targets and standards are fully met.
• Provide ongoing operational support to users, acting as a focal point for specific areas/systems.
• Conduct Studies to track and upgrade obsolete control systems.
• Participate as a team member or individual contributor in a variety of systems engineering activities in support of day-to-day operations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize offshore oil & gas facilities operations, processes and equipment instrumentation and control systems while providing competent and credible support to offshore Operations.
• Provide specialist engineering expertise in resolving persistent or complex systems problems.
• Participate in Safety Risk Analysis reviews.
• Mentor assigned new-hire and intern engineers.
• Participate in Process Safety and Environment Information maintenance
• Participate in Process Hazards Analysis reviews on assigned platforms as part of the ongoing Process Safety Management Program.
• Participate in company Asset Integrity Management System related issues and provide engineering solutions to resolve them.
• Review Engineering drawings, Cause and effects , Functional design specification and Signal flow diagrams of new projects from Engineering Division and generate reports/comments
• Attend FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT Site acceptance TEST on behalf of the company

• Prepare Engineering drawing and Technical reports and recommendations for Plant modifications
• Participate in the Engineering Survey with Vendors for new Projects and Propose suitable Interface to the existing system
• Participate and contribute in HAZOP study and SIL Analysis
• Take part in Technical Evaluation of bids for new system and in Bench marking

BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY (ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING) - March 1985, KERALA UNIVERSITY, INDIA

MASTER OF ENGINEERING (APPLIED ELECTRONICS) - June 1987, BHARATHIAR UNIVERSITY, INDIA

Holds a Master’s Degree in Electronics Engineering with Specialization in Control and Automation .More than 15 Years Experience in Oil Industry at offshore platform .Experienced in DCS, ESD, F&G and SCADA .Experience ranges from Engineering to Procurement to Commissioning to maintenance .Actively involved in HAZOP study and SIL level requirement. Participated in the FEED study of new platform and propose suitable Interfaces of various projects .Participated in the Vendor evaluation and bench marking. Full knowledge and Experience on SAT (Site acceptance Test) and FAT (Factory acceptance Test) and project take over. Fully familiar with ICAPS (Integrated commissioning and project management system)- A system developed by TOTAL (France) Active Involvement in HSE, PHSER etc
Familiar with International standards of ISA, IEC, NFPA ,API etc
