Professional Experience
Over fourteen years of geo-environmental consulting experience throughout the U.S., the Middle East (Kuwait and Iraq), and Asia. Manages and implements environmental regulatory programs and management systems (to include developing and conducting EHS training programs) for compliance with Host Country, DoD, EPA, and state/local laws. Certified in ISO-14001 EMS implementation, and develops pollution prevention/minimization strategies (Virginia Tech Center for Organizational and Technological Advancement). Manages geo-environmental and environmental assessment/remediation projects including proposals, resources and logistics, design, regulatory compliance, and post-remediation monitoring. Evaluates geology, hydrology, and soils, and prepares drilling logs and reports including phase I -III site assessments, hazardous materials release response plans, and environmental health and safety plans. Performs environmental sampling, groundwater monitoring including low-flow sampling, and monitoring/injection well design and construction. Supervises soil/rock geotechnical sampling and utilizes materials testing laboratory equipment. Adjunct Instructor of Environmental Technology, John Tyler Community College.
