Professional Experience
1999- to date, Project Manager. PDVSA ( a multinational South-American petroleum company)
Project management for PDVSA´s refining division in the CRP (Paraguana Refining Center). Responsible for quality, timescales, and cost, ensuring that projects were brought to commission safely, within budget, on time, and to client's satisfaction. Responsible for achievement of scheduled milestones, budget targets and contract obligations including client meetings and negotiations with subcontractors and insures. Among the most important projects managed are:
•New hydro desulfurization plant for the Amuay refinery
•Revamp of HDT plant in the Cardon refinery
•Revamp of the old hydro desulfurization plant in the Cardon refinery
•New acid water treatment plant for the Cardon refinery
•New gas compression plant for the hydro desulfurization plant in the Cardon refinery
•Revamp of the store yard tank in the Amuay refinery
•Revamp of the catalytic plant in the Amuay refinery
1986-1996, Project Engineer. PDVSA (a multinational South-American petroleum company) Project Engineering for PDVSA´s Capital Projects Group in the western division. Responsible for production facilities design and construction, functional analysis, specifications, drawings, quality/reliability, engineering changes and documentation.Among the most important projects managed are:
•Offshore-stations for collection, storage, pumping, and distribution of petroleum and gas: EF UD-8, EF TJ-21, EF LL-63.
•Offshore-stations for gas lift in oil fields whit low natural pressure: M LL 957A.
•Revamp of five gas compression plants with GE LM-2500 used for gas lift in oil fields whit low natural pressure: MP LL-1, MP LL-2, MP TJ-1, MP TJ-2, MP CL-1.
•Revamp of industrial facilities such as gas compression plants, tank farms, loading marine terminals, control rooms, process areas, and pump stations: GLP-ULE, TAPARITO, TERMINAL LACUSTRE LS, etc.
•Fire control for hazardous areas such as gas compression plants and process areas: GLP-ULE, TJ-1, TJ-2, TJ-3
