Electrical Commissioning Engineer

To be a group head and to lead a team to meet deadlines and to accomplish successful Erection, Testing and commissioning of Electrical & Instrumentation syatems in oil & gas industries

• Extensive Experience as an Engineer /Supervisor /Technician in the Electrical & Instrument Construction, Commissioning and Maintenance of major industrial projects over the past 20 years In India and abroad; Industries include Petroleum and Oil & gas. Experienced in the installation, inspection, Testing and Commissioning of diverse Range of Hazardous Area Electrical equipments including Motors, controls gears, Lighting panels and process instrumentation.
• Conversant with latest technology HV/LV substation plant operation and extensive knowledge of electrical control systems and commissioning of new electrical equipment. and knowledge of HT and LT installation, transformers, Switchgears, Control and Protection Relay Scheme for substations up to 400kV.
• Familiarized with various type of protection relays such as : Distance Protection Current Differential, Line Differential Bus bar Protection, Pilot Wire ,Transformer Biased Differential, Transformer High Impedance , Restricted Earth Fault , Over current and Earth Fault , Breaker Failure , Under/Over Voltage , Directional Over current , Transformer Standby Earth Fault , Thermal Overload and Synch check & Ability to understand the system logic and characteristic and of the protection relays functions.
• Possess wide experience in installation, testing and Commissioning of PLC’S, DIDCS, Telemetry, ESD systems, Vibration Monitoring systems, Fire and Gas systems, HSSD Systems, Hydraulic Well Head control panels,. Boiler & Burner Management Systems, Flare Ignition systems, Motor Control Centre, UPS, Solar panels, Battery chargers & Batteries .
• Hands on Punch listing of Non-conformance of Hazardous Area Installations and Supervising Correctional works and updating and maintaining of quality control procedure, Preparation of project work pack, Preparation of Pre-commissioning and commissioning procedure for Electrical & Instrumentation systems, preparation of as built drawings and Hand over package.. .

Junior Technical school (1979-1982)

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 year course) (1982-1985)

TRAINING / COURSES ATTENDED

o Training in Digital Instrumentation conducted by Indian Institute of Plant Engineers, Kerala Chapter, India.
o Oil & Gas Flow Metering / Maintenance Aspects (API / AGA Norms) conducted jointly by Fluid Control Research Institute, Palakkad & Indian Institute of Plant Engineers, Chennai, India.
o Accident & Incident Investigation by DNV.
o H.U.E.T & Sea survival Training.
o H2S / Breathing Apparatus familiarisation.
o Permit to work system adopted in OXY.
o Authorised Electrical Person Certificate (Assessed & Certified by OXY-OMAN
