My experience is with professional audit firms (Big 4). My key responsibilities includes;
- Leading engagement teams through the project planning stages, supervision of the work performed, including close interaction with clients, review of field work and on-job professional development of staff;
- Review of compliance with International Accounting Standards and generally accepted accounting principles by the companies being audited and providing them professional advice over their compliance status.
- Foreign reporting in accordance with the instructions of the Group Auditors.
- Assessing compliance with regulations and controls by executing audit program steps; examining and analysing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Assessing risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies.
- Communicating audit progress and findings by providing information in status meetings; highlighting unresolved issues; reviewing working papers; preparing final audit reports.
- Applying KPMG and PwC audit methodology on each audit client.
- Additional responsibilities include client relationships maintenance and development, co-ordination with professionals of various fields including legal, actuarial and IT, and appropriate training and couching of audit staff.
