Quality Control Chemist

Supervising & controlling all operational activities concerning QC/QA systems in LOBP.
Responsible for:
• Inspection & testing of all incoming supplies (raw materials, additives, base oils, finished products, and returned products) according to LQS and ISO systems as well as monitoring all activities related to filling & blending processes to maintain quality issues.
• Monitoring of all Shell branded products
• Formulating of all unbranded Shell products
• Used oil analysis program.
• BOM focal point
• SME products portfolio cost control.
• Maintaining the GPC
• Maintaining the lab equipment calibration.
• Planning & preparing the purchase order of lab equipment, spare parts, glassware and chemicals.
• Maintaining all the results and records of all the activities are performed
Making the following decisions:
• Acceptance & rejection of raw materials, which may lead to the supplier exclusion in case of multiple product rejection.
• Handling technical customer complaints.
• Arranging regular training for lab staff on monthly basis.
• Executing daily production plan and blending notes to fulfil sales outstanding orders taking into consideration blending, filling & holding tanks capacities
• Ensuring that all activities in the QC department meet the required HSSE standards & ISO procedures.
• EDXRF (Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy) certified professional user from PANalytical, the world's leading supplier of analytical instrumentation and software for X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF).
• Professional user for the ICP instrument (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy).installation, preparation, elemental analysis, and maintenance as well.
• Variety of lubrications oils analysis tests performing on both manually and automated instruments (PMCC, PMOC, Pour Point, TBN & TAN Insoluble, Dynamic viscosity (CCS), Kinematic Viscosity, Water Content, Water Separability, Foaming characteristic, colour, Density, Conradson Carbon, Ash & Sulphated Ash, Copper Corrosion, Distillation, ICP-AES & EDXRF for elemental analysis.
• ASTM & IP standards fully awareness. Procedures & implementation.
• Umoja/JDE systems user.
• Managing used oil and mix oil collection programme sponsored by EGPC.
• Responsible for packaging suppliers' quality appraisal.

• B.Sc. in Chemistry & Physics -Faculty of Science, Cairo University
• Graduation Year: 2004
• Grade of education: Good

• Excellent in using, Windows 2000 & XP, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, Oracle and JDE.
