BTC Commercial Operations Team Leader

(BTC = Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline)

• I was responsible for BTC Commercial Operations which include capacity allocation, hydrocarbon accounting, nominations process, pipeline scheduling, capacity allocation, short and medium term planning, marine scheduling, tariff calculation, invoice generation and management information reporting.
• I ensured that the BTC contractual obligations that are set out in numerous agreements are complied to. To this end, I had direct responsibility for correct operation of the BTC hydrocarbon management systems, Cosmos and Probe. Cosmos is the BTC Crude Oil Supply Management Operations System. Probe is the Pipeline Remote Operating Baku Environment (PROBE) system which is BTC’s internet facing website, and is responsible for providing BTC system functionality for those users external to the BP network.
• I acted as the interface between all parties in the oil chain, which includes liaison with external agencies such as the BTC Partners.
• I led and facilitated a team of five working in a participative and supportive atmosphere while being responsible for results, communicating and sharing information openly and understanding the fundamental business issues in order to involve the right people
• I contributed to, monitored and actively promoted the existing Safety Culture at BTC.
