Geological Engineer

I am Geological Engineer with a M.Sc. in oil and gas engineering. As development reservoir Geologist I have worked in mature assets looking for new opportunities and also collecting data from core and logs (static and dynamic) making pre and post interpretation. During my job I have gained skill in OOIIP calculation, subsurface maps, Petrophysic and Geomodeling using, for instance, Interactive Petrophysic and Petrel as computer software. I manage the well design purpose, economical assessment and well inventory portfolio. I have strong experience working in onshore clastic reservoirs. I am able to undertake new challenges, good at working as an individual or as a team member in a variety of projects, and if it is required willing to travel and/or relocate in other areas.
Past Projects:
*2000-2004 Exploitation Engineer and well site geologist in Morichal District. Dealing with workover jobs, pressure testing, logging, drilling, monitoring and surveillance horizontal and vertical wells even drainholes (in site), working closely with the field geophysicist and exploitation engineer to maintain production, in other words, seeking opportunities for growth through generating and evaluating options for developed areas, in-field drilling, near-field exploration, assessing the suitability of and application of new recovery techniques, and bringing existing prospects to production.
*2004: El Salto Field: working as Geologist of Integrated Study (Geologist and Petrophysicist).
*2004-2005 Cerro Negro Oeste (Carabobo I) as Geomodeller of Integrated Study.
*2005 (3 months): working for the Ex-subsidiary Bitor, making stratigraphic and petrophysic analysis (quick look) in 13 wells in the area M-19.
*2006-2007: Working with routinary and special core analysis in Jobo Field, Ex subsidiary bitor and Pilon, understanding formation evaluation and the real relation between core and logs analysis.
*2008: Author of the Petrophysic Study in Pilon Field matching dynamic data.
*2009 (4 months): M.Sc. project: PILON FIELD AFTER 70 YEARS: Challenge, strategy and economic viability to continue developing a mature heavy oil field through available technologies, geoscientist and engineering Practices.
*2010 (Run actually): Geostatistic project in the area Ex-bitor 760 wells, as a part of being more confident with this kind of job.

Ability to complete geological projects, giving professional results under pressure. Ability to construct work plans and schedules. Competent in handling geological software applications and understanding petrophysical evaluations, OOIIP estimation and Economic assessment. Sufficient familiarity with geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, production engineering and drilling engineering to allow effective communication and coordination within team.
