Electrical Engineer

Extensive hands-on experience and working knowledge in electrical and instrument engineering, front end engineering design, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, testing and start-up and commissioning.

Responsible for electrical and instrument projects in the Process Systems Engineering with a direct responsibility for engineering detailed design, materials sizing and selections, procurements and construction, inspection, testing and start-up and commissioning of all equipments and instruments. Technical Advisor (Corporate Resource) for Project Team. Prepared electrical design package, specifications, material requisitions for purchasing electrical equipment, including technical evaluations and vendor drawings review, inspection/testing (FAT) of equipments at manufacturer’s facility and inspection/testing of installations of equipments at fabricator’s facility. Provided electrical and instrument engineering support to process and mechanical departments in Plant Reliability for refinery operations and maintenance, testing and start-up and commissioning, and managed capital or expense project. This included MCC / Switchgear, power distribution system (13.8kV/480volts to 120volts), process control instrumentation, human machine interface to DCS & PLC, sizing and selection of cables, wires, conduits, flow, temperature, pressure control valves, equipments and instruments. Applied industry standards and specifications to fabrications, assembly and installation of cable trays, conduits, fabricated pipe spools, structural supports, piping, fitting, welding, sand blasting, painting, cables and wires pulling and terminations, testing and calibrations of instruments, loop testing, energizing 13.8kV/480V switchgear/motor control centers, run testing of motors, generators, control valves, equipments and instruments. Technical expertise in engineering detailed design, materials sizing and selections, procurements, construction, testing and start-up and commissioning, overall planning, scheduling, staffing, controlling and directing project team from detailed design to testing and start-up and commissioning within budget constraints. A results oriented, analytical individual with a high degree of flexibility and innovative approach to problem solving and implementation.
