Business Analyst (Tier One Project – Basel Reporting)

•Utilizing SDLC best practices from project initiation to closing phases, while managing specific timelines, budget constraints, deliverables, dependencies and contingencies;
•Constantly communicating with business stakeholders from various groups to analyze, document and verify requirements for the system to avoid scope creep;
•Supporting Basel II projects; which meets the Basel II Reporting requirements for the Canadian regulator, (OSFI). This includes Basel Capital Adequacy Requirements (BCAR) Reports, Risk Weighted Average (RWA), Pillar III public disclosure and New Credit Risk (NCR).
•Direct interaction with business users on a regular basis to resolve issues on the various Applications; gathering new requirements and creating specifications; including providing recommendations on the development of efficient end user solutions.
•Creating, managing, and documenting test models in a SIT/UAT environment. Coordinating efforts with programmers, network architects, database administrators, web administrators and other departments supporting these various applications.
•Preparing test plans as well as creating regression testing documentation for all new and existing applications.
•Developing effective solutions by researching/analyzing issues, defining opportunities for system process improvements and making recommendations.
•Acting as a liaison between the client and technology teams for issue resolution related to any of the current initiatives.
•Working with IT management and the client to ensure effective communication, integration of project issues and deliverables, and clear articulation of business requirements.
•Supporting business users during Business Acceptance Testing and provide weekly status reports on all projects and outstanding issues to the IT Manager.
•Preparing and updating test cases and test plans for QA Analyst team to utilize during QA testing phase.
