DCS Supervisor

As the DCS Supervisor on the worlds first FPSO it is my responsibility to insure that all the control systems, Telecom systems and IT systems are operating and functioning at all times.

I am working offshore for the last four years of the coast of Brazil.

Currently I am working on the worlds first GFPSO located in Vitoria, Brazil. I joined the vessel in 2008 during its time in the construction yard in Singapore were I got the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and to present myself with new challenges. As the DCS Supervisor on the GFPSO it is my duties to insure that the personal as well as the assist is well looked after by keeping the Control systems in good working conditions and to present solutions as needed to improve the system. It is also my responsibility to maintain all the IT systems and the Telecommunication systems on board the vessel functional at all times and to correct any problems that might occur.

During this time I worked with a very big company in the Oil and Gas offshore industry by the name of Single Buoy Mooring (SBM). During my time with SBM I was employed as the DCS Specialist on board the facility and I had to insure that all the control systems were maintained and operational at all times. Part of my job description on board included the Telecoms and the IT system on board this FPSO vessel.

I truly believe that I will be an assist to any company as I am highly self motivated and self driven to achieve every challenge that I get presented. I believe in a “don't give up” attitude and this forms a big part of my personality and work believes.

I completed my High School diploma in 2001 where I then started my apprenticeship as an Instrument Technician in 2003. I completed my studies at the top of my class in the end of 2004. I worked at a Petrochemical refinery for 3 years. I was then presented with an opportunity to work offshore in 2006.
