Operations Manager
• Supervise a team of 22 operations personnel to provide power to the Aluminium Smelter and its environs.
• Ensure proper functioning & monitoring of plant operations to meet availability, reliability and stability of power to the Smelter & environs minimizing outages/downtime as much as possible.
• Monitor/interpret operating datas to determine if plant equipment degradation is occurring, then initiate maintenance work orders to request repairs/replacement as the case maybe.
• Maintenance scheduling/planning for PM/CM of the plant to minimize downtime occasioned by planned or forced outages.
• Raise Permit for Work (PFW), Maintenance Work Orders (MWO) and carryout thorough isolations and ensure Record of Inter-System Safety Precautions (RISSP) is carried out before maintenance actions to avoid system derived hazards.
• Personnel management, training for continuous development of technical knowledge and competencies.
• Prepare monthly report on the operations of the station for management and maintain a monthly report of all significant events, initiated actions and ensure proper follow ups for safe and efficient plant operations.
• Ensure adequate Health, Safety & Environmental practices are observed and maintained in accordance with laid down company HSE policies.
