Field Senior Chemical Engineer

Assist in operation of the Thermal department & Process department as required by the Thermal & Process Superintendent.
Process department consists of dehydration, defoaming, desalting, analyzing & shipping equipment for heavy crude oil.
Monitor and optimize chemical usage ,responsible for all chemical injection rates in both Thermal & Process departments.
Carry out laboratory and field analysis work to do quantitative and qualitative analysis of dissolved and undissolved constituents, physical parameters or identification, for a full range of needs in oil, gas and water operations
Completed bottle testing for field demmulsifier & defoamers in order to eliminate emulsion problems.
Identify any abnormalities in plant chemistry and advise operational staff to promptly rectify the situation.

Thermal department consists of ten 25mmbtu Once Through Steam Generators (OTSG) & their water treatment units.
Responsible for selecting all water treatment chemicals for not only Thermal Operation but for 5 Main Station fire tube boilers.
Responsible for troubleshooting all water treatment issues.
Developed a 5 day training program on water treatment & trained all Operators. Completed training of 74 Dublin Employees.
Audit water treatment program on regular basis.
Oversea maintenance and proper operation of water treatment softeners.
Maintain historical records of water quality and make recommendations for optimization of the water treatment process.
Experience in performing chemical analysis of water samples.
Understand chemical requirements and safety aspects of chemical usage as related to water treating processes.
Knowledge of the basic principles of chemical monitoring and control devices for water treating systems.
Insure compliance with all company and governmental rules and regulations regarding the storage and use of water treating chemical.
Identify any abnormalities in plant chemistry and advise operational staff to promptly rectify the situation.
